Yin Yoga is a quiet practice which is mainly about stretching. Postures are held for several minutes. Like this, even body structures get involved that are ususally not that intensely addressed in a Vinyasa practice. The energy channels of the body are positively manipulated so that body fluids and energy can flow abundantly and reach all parts of the body. Props are used to support the practicioner in the postures. The nerval system calms down and accumulated physical, mental and emotional stress can be released. Yin Yoga has a very calming, relaxing effect. It is very healthy for the whole organism being both, physical and meditative. Yin Yoga can generate the wonderful feeling of being connected with your inner source and the universal life energy.
